Disc Hovering Energy

Student tested, student approved!!! The hover disc is fun no matter what! Students use hover discs to put the law of conservation of energy to the test. The disc is pulled across a table using a counter weight hung over a pulley. The potential and kinetic energies of the weight and disc can be calculated. Students will see energy conversion and conservation right before their eyes.
