Hello and welcome to my research and teaching website. I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Biological Science at Florida State University. As a behavioral ecologist, my research concerns both the mechanisms and survival value of animal behavior, focusing on interactions between predators and prey and social behavior. Currently, I am working with spiny lobsters, a fascinating group of marine crustaceans found in shallow, tropical waters all around the world. My research focuses on the Caribbean lobsters Panulirus argus and P. guttatus, although I have also worked with freshwater crayfish and swarm-founding social wasps. In addition to information on my research, I will include my teaching philosophy and other information for students. See the links at the right for my CV and contact information.
