My name is Paul Gignac, and I'm a Ph. D. Candidate in the Biological Science department at Florida State University where I study comparative evolutionary biomechanics. I'm in my final year here at FSU where my dissertation research has focused on using the evolution of the feeding system in modern archosaurs (crocodilians and birds) as a template to understand the evolution of functionally integrated systems. I have a Bachelors Degree in Biology from the University of Connecticut where I studied the anatomy of feeding in squamate lizards under Dr. Kurt Schwenk. Currently, I am working with Dr. Gregory Erickson on my doctorate, which I plan to defend in December 2009. Thanks for visiting!
