Lab Report #10

1) What UniProt sequence did you choose to use as the "Target" for this lab's homology modelling predictions? What sequence(s) did you use as a "Template" in your "Alignment Interface" attempt?
2) You should have had no problems with SwissModel's "First Approach Mode." Describe the model that was returned: how many structures were superimposed, what were the "Template" structures' PDB access codes, did the model appear realistic?
3) How about the "Alignment Interface:" were you able to get it to work? Did the 3D results appear to be the same as with "First Approach?"
4) Discuss pros and cons of each of these approaches: why and when would you want to use one versus the other?
5) Discuss your experience with the two visualization tools, RasMol and SwissPDBViewer: were you able to get them to work, which did you prefer, why would you use one versus the other, what were their strengths and weaknesses, what visualization techniques did you utilize, etc.?
