Lab Report #5

1) What were the names of the two 'interesting' proteins sequences, one RefSeq entry from your BLAST search, and one UniProt organismal LookUp list entry from your FastX search respectively, that you chose to further analyze in the second portion of the lab?
2) What were the Expectation Values of those two 'interesting' comparisons as reported by BLAST and FastX respectively? I need to be able to see which E value goes with which sequence in your answer.
3) Of your 'interesting' comparisons, what genomic translational frames and regions aligned the best to what regions of each of your 'interesting' protein entries, as pointed out by dot plot analysis? Descibe a mimimum of two alignments.
4) Of these best regions seen in the dot plots, how many did you analyze further with a Monte Carlo Z score test, and what were those results? Again, give me at least two, and be sure that I can tell which scores go with which alignments, but more than two comparisons would be even better.
