Thursday, May 22 – Thursday, May 22, 9:30 am – 5:00 pm, Tallahassee Regional Airport Gate 27 & 28—HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS EVENT The Tallahassee office of the National Weather Service presents the NOAA Hurricane Hunters, the Director of the National Hurricane Center, and meteorologists from the National Weather Service. There will also be tours of the Hurricane Hunter aircraft from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., weather balloon launches beginning at 10:00 a.m., and interactive exhibits on hurricane preparation, response and recovery all day.

Thursday, May 22, 7:00 pm, Challenger Learning Center IMAX theater, Kleman Plaza—TALLAHASSEE SCIENTIFIC SOCIETY SPRING SPEAKER SERIES, "Celebrating the wild side of Florida: portals into nature, culture, and sense of place," Bill Belleville. Host: Tallahassee Scientific Society. Tickets to the presentation are $6 for members, $12 for nonmembers; season discounts available. (This presentation replaces the previously-scheduled presentation by Joe Hutto, cancelled due to illness.)
