Thursday, October 31 – Thursday, October 31, 11:15 am – 11:15 am, 112 KLB—BIOCHEMISTRY/STRUCTURAL BIOLOGY SPECIAL SEMINAR AND KASHA AWARD PRESENTATION, "Biological physicochemistry studies of membrane proteins: from chemical probes to protein mechanism," Changlin Tian, Ph. D., School of Life Sciences, University of Science and Technology of China. The Kasha Award is given annually to recognize and stimulate research and to promote quality scientific writing. All Molecular Biophysics graduate students who are primary authors on a published paper in the past two years are eligible to be nominated by their major professors. This year's winner will be announced at the ceremony, with a special seminar presentation by 2003 MOB graduate Dr. Tian (major professor: Dr. Timothy Cross). A catered lunch will be offered in the KLB lobby following the seminar.
