Friday, August 25 – Friday, August 25, 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm, KIN Lobby/Atrium—INVOLVEMENT FAIR an opportunity for everyone in the department to get together, socialize, and share information about what kinds of involvement opportunities we have in our department. It’s a great time to let everyone know what your group does and how folks can join in your academic, cultural, and/or social fun.
There are multiple ways to participate. You can set up a table or share a table with another group. You can present a poster. Do you want to participate but those options feel like a bit much? You could bring some flyers and a sign-up sheet and just chat with people about what you’’ve got going on.
This event is appropriate for formal and informal groups and any community opportunities. Examples of groups include EERDG, TCGA, COGS, GWIS, FSUCML, etc. (come to the Involvement Fair to decode that delicious alphabet soup!). Community opportunities might include crafting meetups; just for fun reading or writing groups; hiking, biking, team sports or nature groups or outings, seed or plant swap, 2nd language conversation practice—any activity you would like to share with others in the department.
