February 12 through February 16, 2024

Monday, February 12 – Monday, February 12, 12:00 pm – 12:00 pm, 2057 KIN and Zoom—BIO/NEURO POSTDOC/GRAD PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP AND LUNCH, Faculty Q and A Panel. An issue identified in a recent Bio Dept Dialog is that grad students and postdocs would like to have more forums to ask questions about faculty life and get viewpoints of faculty from multiple areas and career stages. We are hosting a Faculty Panel to provide such a forum on Mon Feb. 12 from 12pm-1:30pm in King 2057 (and Zoom). Lunch will be provided. We think that it will be relevant for graduate students and postdocs in other life sciences departments as well. We would like to get some of your questions for the panelists in advance, either emailed directly to one of the organizers (Jones, Inouye, Kraft) or by anonymous Qualtrics survey (https://fsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_29mNlpm8n3UawOG) We hope that by providing the anonymous survey form for questions that you will feel free to ask anything that you would like!! You are, of course, also welcome to ask questions during the event!!! The panelists will be:
Jonathan Dennis, Associate Professor, Bio--Cell and Molecular Biology (CMB) Brian Inouye, Professor, Bio--Ecology and Evolution (E&E) Kathryn Jones (moderator), Associate Professor, Bio—CMB and E&E Brittany Kraft, Assistant Teaching Professor, Bio—E&E Tara Stewart Merrill, Assistant Research Professor, FSU Coastal and Marine Lab Douglas Storace, Assistant Professor, Bio-Neuro Qian Yin, Associate Professor, Bio—CMB
