These installers are based on Ninite. The software listed with the installer will be installed or updated to the latest version. If the latest version of the software is all ready installed no action is taken on that item. The Ninite installer does not need to be updated to install the latest versions of the software, each time it runs it checks for new versions. The Ninite installer will not install the (usually) not wanted 3rd party software, malware, toolbars, etc that comes as options with some of these software packages when installed from the default installer.
