THOMAS EUGENE "TOM" DEWITT, 1960-2005

Thomas Eugene DeWitt MONTICELLO - Thomas "Tom" Eugene DeWitt, 45, a broadcast engineer, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, in Tallahassee. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. EST Friday at Christ Episcopal Church in Monticello. Family will receive friends after the service at Clear Moon Rising, 2446 Old Lloyd Road, in Monticello. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson County Humane Society, 1250 Mamie Scott Drive, Monticello, FL 32344. Beggs Funeral Home Monticello Chapel (850-997-5612) is handling arrangements. Born in Great Lakes, Ill., Tom grew up in Orlando. He and his wife of 26 years, Kitti, have resided in the Monticello area for the last 12 years. He was the producer and broadcast engineer for the Florida State University football and basketball sports broadcast games and call-in shows. He was a Mason and an Episcopal. Mr. DeWitt is survived by his wife, Kitti DeWitt of Monticello, and two sisters, Linda Bradford of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and Beverly Berry of Ambridge, Pa.
