San Francisco
There is something wonderful about
a city that would build a 40 foot slide in the middle of a neighborhood.
Of course it makes sense when your
neighborhoods have hills like these.
Whatever trouble hills may be to
your feet, they are great for terraced gardens.
They are also great for scenic
vistas.
It has been remarked by some that
San Franciscans can be a little eccentric, maybe so?
Try as I might, I could not
capture the beauty of this lovely city lit up at night. It is a sight well worth seeing.
What I found most charming was the
striking mix of old and new construction.
Both had their own aesthetic appeal, and together the effect is
captivating.
Something else that San Francisco
has to offer is outdoor theater.
It is all donation based community entertainment, and very well
played. They do not allow pictures
of their performances though, sorry folks.
It was wonderful to see community
gardens, maintained by neighbors.
This one traverses two main
streets and serves as a pedestrian thoroughfare.
It sure beats the grocery store.
Zeahhhh maize, no garden is
complete without it (this oneีs for Hank).
Finally, I got to see that famous
San Francisco fog.
