Wednesday morning, the Sinnetts, not normally early risers, valiantly dragged themselves out of bed to see us off.
The trip back was uneventful. We took the same route in reverse, except for one harmless epicycle where we took a wrong turn and had to bushwhack our way back to the right one, and we even timed things right to arrive at Old Clinton Barbecue House at lunch time. We stuck with a winner and ordered the same things we'd had the last time, but this time topped them off by splitting a piece of their featured chocolate layer cake.
A satisfactory eclipse-viewing trip althogether.
