In a broad sense, I am
interested in research that leads to a better understanding of
how plants grow, develop, and survive. For survival on land,
plants evolved highly specialized, tightly-regulated
structures, stomata, at the interface between the atmosphere
and the inside of the plant that I find intriguing. My
research focuses on determining regulators of gene expression
in stomata.
