Obituaries

• Dr. Loretta C. Ellias, Associate Professor Emerita, died on 21 April. She was a member of the department from 1946 until her retirement in 1987. Dr. Ellias's dedication to undergraduate teaching is commemorated in the department's Loretta C. Ellias Teaching Award, first conferred in 1988.
